For the first time in 8 years, the Morean Arts Center offered an in-depth teen photography camp! Taught by Lance Rothstein, veteran photojournalist and camera collector, Teen Pinhole & Darkroom Photography Camp provided education on a method of producing photos that is making a big comeback. Campers learned about the history of photography, the first cameras and built their own pinhole camera from scratch. Campers were also able to shoot black and white film in old manual cameras donated to the program. Using tools and tips learned throughout the week, campers processed and printed photos from various photo walks around downtown.
Bonus! Lance also taught campers how to use a 100 year old, 4x5 film camera and used Instax instant film for fun double exposures in honor of the Morean Arts Center's 100th Anniversary!
